Apollo's Tough New Standard On Child Restraints

Apollo has developed a rigorous new Policy on Child Restraints.

Says CEO, Luke Trouchet: "The safety of our customers is of the utmost importance to Apollo. Therefore
we have developed a best practice approach to Child Restraints. They aim for the best safety (not just recommended levels) for our clients’ children."

Clients can rent Child Restraints (must be pre-booked) from Apollo for $20 per rental. It is the client’s responsibility to fit them (branch staff are legally unable to fit them or advise on how they should be fitted, says Trouchet) to the vehicle and they recommend the following guidelines below.
Australia: http://www.atsb.gov.au/pdfs/child_restraints.pdf and
http://www.transport.qld.gov.au/qt/LTASinfo.nsf/index/rs_restraints_home
New Zealand: http://www.ltsa.govt.nz/factsheets/07.html

Child Restraints from overseas will not conform to the stringent standards
required in Australia and New Zealand. Apollo therefore strongly recommend
overseas renters not to bring their own Child Seats as they will not be allowed
to use them in Apollo vehicles.

For rentals in Australia they advise that clients should travel to and from their branches via taxi. If clients have children that require a Child Restraint then Apollo strongly recommend they order a taxi with appropriate Child Restraints to meet their requirements.

In New Zealand they offer a free transfer to the Apollo branch from the Airport and vice versa. If clients have children that require a Child Restraint then they will order a taxi with the appropriate Child Restraints and pay for the taxi transfer.
